Step 1. Check your pulse. Are you a living human being? If yes, continue on to step 2.
Step 2. Put on a bikini.
Ta da! You now have the perfect bikini body. If you’re doubting if you’re ready to put on your littlest bikini because you don’t think you’re “summer ready”, do it anyways. Despite what society tells you, there are no size requirements you have to meet to rock a bikini.
The average American woman has 14 negative thoughts about their body each day. Typically, women spend way too much time worrying all winter and spring about how our bodies will look in our bathing suits come summer. In the months leading up to summer, we are bombarded by tips telling us how to get “flat abs”, “toned legs”, and a “tight butt” to “look good” for swimsuit season. Instead of working to change our bodies for the summer months, why not try to embrace the one we have right now? We should be grateful for the fact that our body pumps our blood, it beats our heart, it blinks our eyes, it regulates our body temperature, and we don’t even need to think about it! Our bodies do so much for us, and we sometimes forget just how amazing it is. It helps us breathe, sing, smile, sleep, dance, laugh and countless other things that are so important for our health and our happiness. Women should always be proud of their bodies.
