One of my go-to DIY face masks is made using benefit-rich turmeric. Turmeric is a spice that comes from the turmeric plant found in Southern Asia. For hundreds of years, people around the world have used turmeric for its healing properties as well as its cosmetic benefits. The bright, yellow-orange spice gets its health benefits primarily because of curcumin, a bioactive component that has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. While modern scientific research is just beginning to study the positive impact of turmeric, many believe that it has several beneficial uses for skin.
2 tablespoons of flour. You can use regular flour, rice flour or ground oats if your skin is dry.
1 teaspoon turmeric
3 tablespoons milk. You can also use yogurt to fight acne.
A few drops of honey
Mix flour, turmeric, milk, and honey together to make a paste
Remove any makeup and dirt from your face
Apply a thin layer of the paste evenly all over your face
Let it dry for 20-30 minutes
Rinse off the mask
Use a facial cleanser to remove any remaining yellow pigmentation
Apply your favorite facial moisturizer
Apply twice a week for best results
*Turmeric is a dye and it can stain anything, so be careful. Clean immediately to prevent staining.

I’m wondering if you can use these facial masks just for the sake of having fresh skin? Or is it advisable only to use them for acne or other skin irritations?
