If you spend any time on social media, you have probably stumbled across videos or images of people brushing their teeth with what looks like black toothpaste. Despite the grody appearance, charcoal toothpaste can actually leave your teeth whiter than before. The reason why charcoal is everywhere is because activated charcoal works by attracting and then sweeping away unwanted particles. In theory, activated charcoal binds to everything in its path-stains, tartar, bacteria, and viruses- through adsorption so that they can be gathered up and rinsed away in the sink. This toothpaste should not be used as a substitute for your everyday toothpaste, but used in moderation (two to three times a week), this toothpaste can transform your stained yellow teeth into pearly whites. Take your smile to the next level with our DIY charcoal teeth whitening toothpaste!
