Lets Throw a LIT Fourth of July Party

The fourth of July is just around the corner and your beloved Clio team wants you to be prepared for a memorable day off. Whether you’re beach bumming, having a BBQ, or just simply being low key and hanging out- we’ve got some ideas that will suit any of your plans. So lets embrace the red, white, and blue and get everyone in the patriotic party spirit with foods, activities, and decorations that’ll excite all guests.

Shine bright like a…. sparkler!

This trendy activity will keep your guests (or kids) occupied for a decent amount of time. Purchase a couple of bags of sparklers and don’t forget your lighter! But remember we are not simple people anymore. WE take photos of everything, and WE expect them to come out beautiful just like all the others you see on our social media platforms. So here are some tips on how to use your smartphone and get the perfect shots of your sparkler artwork.

  1. Enable HDR , which takes multiple photos at different exposures, then automatically combines them together into a single image using software.
  2. Use exposure lock to keep the best lighting. (its that pesky AF LOCK we see but never understand why its on)
  3. Use that thumb! Take many photos so you wont possibly miss a single shot.
  4. To make step three easier, try using burst mode. This will take what seems like thousands of photos so make sure you have the memory space in your phone!

Turn up the…(radio? never)

Its time to either judge your guests, or be selfish and play your own favorite party tunes. Spotify has some great options for party playlists and if you have the time- make  up your own for a more authentic and you-feeling party! Remember, an outdoor party is not the time to play your DDP (Deep Dark Playlist) so stick to dancy, fun tunes.. Most of our suggestions are in the app
